Capital Recreation is in business to make recreation accessible to all. I am not here to tell you the what, the who, and the when. I am here to support and encourage your positive behaviors. I am a Certified Recreational Therapist (CTRS) breaking down barriers to leisure and recreation participation. This blog is here as a tool to spread my personal thoughts and ideas. But most of all, to create community!

I’m back and I am not giving in. In the end of the calendar year of 2020, I made a personal goal to write a blog one time per week. As you can tell, this is not the case. My last posting was over two months ago. So, what happened? The short story is … life happened. One week led to another, and now it two months later.

The past few months have been quite busy. I could make myself excuses and say it was my work, hobbies, day-to-day life, and holidays that got in the way. Truth be told, I started this blog when I had great change and busier personal schedule. I just fell off my personal bandwagon. I let it slip away. I haven’t been as productive with my time as I would like, and I’ve just been feeling tired? Lazy? … I don’t have a good word.

Keeping things positive here. I am back and ready to finish this calendar year on a high note! Like the quote at the top of this post, ‘fall down seven time, get up eight.’ Life is all about our personal …. (insert your own word here). But true living, is pulling yourself up. True living is giving it your best (even if it means other things need to be put aside). True living is taking care of you. True living is taking an exhale when it’s stressful. True living is knowing you have the power. True living is knowing today is a new day!

Time to rise and shine. Every day is an opportunity for revival, giving it your best, and living your life to the fullest.

So, raise a glass and cheers to living your best moment!

I always love hearing from you and your personal journey. Share your moments of growth and success on social media using the hashtag #shlomotrained

Until next time – peace, and virtual fist bump going your way!
